2017 Summer Schedule
The precise details of our summer concert schedules are always highly tentative, and remain so at all times, due especially to the weather.  Much of our equipment, including our printed music, cannot necessarily survive exposure to rain, so occasionally concerts must be canceled or even stopped "in progress".  And, if a concert is canceled, we sometimes arrange to perform that same concert later in the season.
May 20 – For the second year in a row, the band’s season will begin with Jim Priebe conducting the Season Kickoff Concert at the Capitol Theater, with guests Bel Canto Chorale and Jeff Phillips.

May 29 – The annual morning Memorial Day ceremonies at Memorial Auditorium, sponsored by the American Legion and the Veteran’s Council.

All other concerts at the Crapo Park Band Shell at 7:30 PM:

June 4 –  Mark Taylor conducts the Teddy Bear’s Picnic concert, featuring outstanding area middle school students performing with the band.

June 11 –  Ron Coberley conducts our 90th anniversary celebration, with world premiere of a new piece by Steve Wright.

June 18 –  Arnie Anderson conducts.

June 25 –  Mike Lachnitt conducts.

July 2 –  Carmen Lachnitt conducts.

July 9 –  Derrick Murphy conducts.

July 16 – Janel Harms conducts, featuring an appearance by the Nauvoo Pageant Bagpipe Band of Nauvoo, Illinois.

July 23 –  Ted Francis conducts.

July 30 –  Mark Eveleth conducts.

August 6 – Our annual “Round Robin” concert and/or a previously rained out concert.
